About Us

Restaurant Partners, Inc. (RPI) was founded in 1992 as
a Consulting Company specializing in the full service,
casual dining segment of the restaurant industry. RPI
focuses on the business side of the restaurant industry
by helping operators bring more money to their bottom
line. Through operational audits, financial controls, menu
engineering and strategic planning, RPI has helped
both large and small companies successfully open and
improve their restaurant concepts.

In particular, RPI has worked with The Walt Disney Company, Darden Restaurants, Krispy Kreme,
ConAgra, Paramount Entertainment, The City of Orlando, Orange County (FL.), The Greater Orlando
Aviation Authority and IBM on key projects like business planning, expansion programs, space planning
and recipe research.

Since 1992, RPI has added two operational divisions to its consulting programs. Our Restaurant
Management Division conceptualizes, opens and operates restaurants for investors, developers,
hoteliers and absentee owners, ensuring a perfect market fit and optimization of the bottom line.
From menus to uniforms to staffing to plateware, RPI can develop an entire concept from scratch,
and manage that property on an ongoing basis. Management partners have included Saks Fifth
Avenue (New York), Avatar Development Corporation (Coral Gables, FL.), Westgate Resorts
(Orlando, FL.) and Consolidated Management, Inc. (Cleveland, OH.). In all cases, RPI carefully
discerns the needs of the owner regarding concept positioning, relationship to the rest of the
development and target audience, and customizes a concept to meet those needs. Some concepts
already in place include an upscale casual steakhouse, a white tablecloth American restaurant, a
19th hole golf grille, a "casual cowboy" barbeque concept and an island themed casual dining
restaurant.

RPI not only consults for and manages restaurants, it also Owns and Operates its own restaurants
throughout the southeastern United States. Currently there are three concepts in the RPI stable of
offerings, Grille 29 and Upper Crust Pizza.

Grille 29 is an upscale casual steak and seafood restaurant located in Huntsville, Alabama. At 6,300 square feet, Grille 29 is RPI's largest operation and features a variety of steaks, fresh seafood and world class desserts for both lunch and dinner. The $35 check average puts the concept in competition with other upscale restaurants such as Fleming's, Houston's and Seasons 52.

Grille 29

Upper Crust Pizza Café is a limited service pizza café featuring both New York and Sicilian style pizzas. The restaurant also offers a variety of signature "crusti's", open calzones filled with various items like Veggies and Steak and Cheese.
